Remember, folks: whenever a woman says "die for me because you are a man," just look her in the eye and say "my body, my choice."

Making Hay...

Or perhaps beating a dead horse.

Judging by the overwhelming response to my Anonymous Letter post, it seems I struck a nerve.  (9,000 hits!  On my blog???)  So I've decided to expand on the topic.  The post touched on several important issues, without exploring any of them in depth.  Indeed one commenter suggested that with some documentation and a change of tone, it could be rather scholarly.  I replied that it's already been done.

Then the gears started to turn.

Perhaps it needs to be done again, and in one place.  I'm going to dig up documentation for (and possibly against) every claim I made in that article, and write a series of posts and/or a book.  I would love some suggestions: Stats, studies, "education initiatives," anecdotes, individual cases, observations, and most of all, valid criticism.

If you have something to say, please leave a comment or email me at

I welcome your opinions.  (Unless you're a troll screeching, "NAWALT!")

  1. I have no opinion, other than that I thought the post was very strong and heartfelt. I would worry that if it were academic in nature, you would lose that.

    1. Thanks. I don't want it to end up dry and dull; I'll have to present my "facts" in a way that has personal meaning. Should be a challenge.

  2. I tried emailing you, but for some reason it said that your email failed.

really did appreciate your open letter. I liked it so much that I had to forward it to a few of my friends. I honestly wonder how a lot of mothers feel about the crap that their sons are going through in today's society. It seems that women like you, who have caught on to the dismal interpersonal dynamics that men face, are quite the minority. So I must say, keep up the good work. I don't have TOO much to contribute, but one article I stumbled upon may be helpful, especially considering that your son is a marine (I'm Navy) may prove to be useful.

Marine wives that want to open a brothel while their husbands are away? You better believe it.

This is a book that was written by a prosecuting attourney with 20+ years of experience. The whole book is pretty much gold.

This is an article about how men have checked out from the life plan of "married by age X, kids by age Y, and house by age Z." You kind of have to ignore the end of the articale because the author basically alludes to her idea that more men need to "grow up sooner or later" and become better marriage material.

Hope all is well. Take care of yourself
