...if that's what all the cool kids were doing?
Ummm, maaaaaybe.
Weer'd says,"So on January 8th I ask everybody to post a picture of a lit candle and you carry gun," in this post:

And her's an inspiring follow-up:

So here's mine:
(with no apologies to that voice in my head, which sounds suspiciously like my mother.)
I never used to be so fiercely pro-gun. I never thought I would need to be. Count me in.
Cool piece of hardware. Do you have carry permit. I am going to get one here. No hassle in doing it either. You don't even have to own a weapon to get one.
ReplyDeleteLove the piece...still wanting my own, but at least I have my permit. I wanted it before laws change and could possibly prohibit that right
ReplyDeleteNo permit here, so I don't really "carry;" it's for home defense. I'll be taking classes and getting a CC permit after I move East. I'll also buy a less bulky piece to carry. Needless to say, I sleep well with that sucker nearby.
ReplyDeleteRuger revolver...pretty good. I'm amazed how many citiznes I've been training to shoot who admitted to me that they were anti gun.....until they either went shooting with a friend, or, had somebody try to attack them.
ReplyDeleteThe funny part is when the go to buy the gun...in Calif it's very complicated.
A Security Six? Nice revolver.
ReplyDeleteOh dear....
ReplyDeleteDon't go postal on us...
LOL Lisa! Not to fear M'lady. Two decades and plenty of ups-n-downs - haven't shot anybody yet!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid of guns. Daddy didn't allow them in the house.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie "Lola"
I'm sorry I'm so ditzy (good reason for me to never have a gun), but have you joined my new private blog? If you haven't, please send me your email address and you'll receive the coveted invitation.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Yay candles! Oh,..what? Well, yeah. I have a S&W .38 Special. But I still like candles.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Sometimes you don't know exactly how you feel about something until somebody tries to take it away from you. I don't want anybody (Obama) to tell me that I don't have a right to carry a gun if it gives me the warm fuzzies inside to do so.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I would really like it if you would at some point this year write a post on the presidential candidates. People like me that don't really know a whole lot about politics would really appreciate reading something they can understand about our choices.
(Just a small humble request from one of your minions!)
So far, I've decided I don't like Romney because he seems like a phony. I think Paul is okay. And I know nothing about the others.
