Remember, folks: whenever a woman says "die for me because you are a man," just look her in the eye and say "my body, my choice."

Blue Star

The phrase "Blue Star Mother" is slowly being overtaken by "Blue Star Family."  Perhaps a few people are noticing that it's no only mothers who miss their deployed warriors, and it's about time.  That said, last week I ordered Blue Star window clings for the cars and the house, because once again WolfAlpha and I are a Blue Star Family.

*Sigh*
So yeah, instead of coming to see dear old Mom and Dad, The Corporal has gone back to The Sandbox.
Maybe later this year...

  1. I feel for you, and am happy my warrior is a firmly entrenched stateside fobbit (for the time being).

  2. I'm sorry he's gone. I know how you love him. I'll pray for him and for your entire family.

    Love,
    Janie

P.S. I have a book review on my blog. The book is Treadwell, and I think you would like it.

    1. My list of unread books is getting too long, but I ordered Treadwell anyway. It looks good.

  3. The families are the ones who have it the hardes during deployment. Imagiantons run wild while the kid (young man) is mostly goofing off with his buds. I wish him luck and God speed. Send me his address and I'll see about getting him some goodies sent to him while he's there. A list of his wants and needs, too, please.

  4. Bless your kiddo! I love soldiers! They fight for freedoms and let nothing stand in their way! Salute! and Salute! to you, the parents!

  5. Adding my good thoughts to your ever-growing pile of them. My brother has been deployed more times than I want to think about. A lot has happened to him, a lot more COULD have and did not.

A man with the heart of a warrior is someone to be respected, admired, and viewed with awe. As are the parents who raised him.
