Growing up in the Bay Area to a 'good' family myself, it was still around starting in Junior High and was pretty prevalent in High School. Now that I'm in college but a bit older than many other students I see just how prevalent it is. Personally, I don't think it's a big deal. I'd take dealing with a stoner over a drunk any day. I did my share of experimenting with it when I was younger, and never once did I think, "Oh well that was fun, I wonder how heroin is?" Nope. I agree that anything that can affect driving needs to be regulated, but I don't have issues with people who want to hang out in their home- stay there, and smoke a lil dope. Their life, and I don't think they should feel like criminals over their idea of Friday night drinks.Candi Applehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00601389265526201755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3697201505856242009.post-56053536384396441712011-02-22T06:16:29.642-08:002011-02-22T06:16:29.642-08:00I had never thought contemplated you gateway argum...I had never thought contemplated you gateway argument before. But it makes a ton of sense. So often our attempt to vilify something just makes that things so much more enticing.

I have a friend who has had some drug problems. He tells people, "Drugs are fun, and if anyone tells you otherwise they are lying." It may sound odd to say, but at least he is not lying or vilifying it.BentonQuesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09007300481037924684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3697201505856242009.post-15474836550858540082011-02-21T06:09:54.176-08:002011-02-21T06:09:54.176-08:00*Confession* I tried it twice in college.
